1The prices quoted are the gross prices to be paid. The actual offer may be more favourable than the unit price multiplied by the volume due to repetitions in the text, therefore we recommend sending the source material. Documents submitted to public authorities, offices and courts cannot be the work of a lay translator. There are two ways in which the authority can see that the translation has been done by a professional translator:
Whichever solution you choose, the translation is traceable, which is welcomed by all authorities and courts, as well as by all parties with an interest in the smooth running of proceedings.
The Hungarian authorities often require "authentic" translations and will only accept the work of Office for Translation and Translation Certification (OFFI), the Hungarian state translation agency. Exceptions to this rule are the 100 or so documents that need to be submitted to the Commercial Court for the registration, amendment or dissolution of companies, which can be translated by any professional translator, including our own staff.
If foreign authorities require translations, we can recommend us because there is no similar translation agency with a state monopoly anywhere else, and our translations have been accepted by all foreign authorities and have not been challenged in any proceedings.
Courts will accept abridged translations if the judge does not see the need to know the full text, or if the opposing client does not challenge it, for example by alleging misrepresentation of the facts. Therefore, we also provide abridged translations, but in line with industry standards, only
